It's anybody's guess how the weather will be in November (or any month, for that matter). According to the Weather Service data, highs have ranged from 28 to 85 in November. We're hoping for a crisp, sunny, autumn day, but it could very well be rainy and chilly.

Luckily, many attractions can be enjoyed regardless of the weather!

The Gateway Arch and Museum

The Arch area provides an underground museum as well as a chance to ride up the structure and overlook the city. It's a fun adventure, despite the initial shakes you may experience from the size and the sound of the transporter cars.

Anheuser-Busch Brewery

This famed brewery offers free tours and tasty samples of its products from 9 am to 4 pm daily. The Soulard neighborhood adjacent to the Brewery also offers quaint charm and one of the largest fresh fruit and vegetable markets in the country.

Forest Park (zoo, art museum, science center, history museum, etc)

Born as the site of the 1904 World's Fair, this large city park offers many worthwhile attractions, including:

  • The Zoo,
  • Art Museum,
  • Science Center,
  • State History Museum,
  • historical homes, and
  • potential outdoor fun (including golf).

Botanical Gardens

If the leaves are still pretty, the botanical garden offers foliage galore.

Ted Drewes

An old St. Louis favorite, the famous custard is still served up in November at the Chippewa and Jamieson location.

Savvis Center

Located right next to the hotels, this is where the Blues play hockey. There is a game scheduled for November 9, so if you're in town early, you may want to check it out!

Laclede's Landing, the Central West End, the Delmar Loop, Clayton, the Hill, Dogtown, and Soulard

These hotbeds of restaurants, music venues, and bars promise good times.

Wineries

If you are in the mood for a day trip, Missouri offers many great wineries. See http://www.actualstlouis.com/attractions/wineries.htm for names and locations.

Casinos

Several casinos located on the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers can help you lose money.
